Intel Core i7 Processor Review 2012- Technology Times

Intel is no doubt the king of processor manufacturer.  It is continuously making the technology compact and increasing the efficiency and performance higher. The finite view of its chips is terrific and hats off to the minds which are working to make this task a success.  Here we have reviewed the latest i7 processor by Intel.  In the design department Intel took a big leap when it launched Core i7 900 series processors. The front side bus architecture was replaced by a new Quick Path Interconnect system and a new triple channel memory controller integrated into a chip was introduced. For an increased system performance come back of hyper threading was supported that splits the chip’s four physical cores into eight virtual cores and increases the performance of the PC. The core i7 is Intel's flagship CPU. Processor supports Intel Virtualization Equipment. They finally got rid of the front side bus and replaced it with QPI or Quick Path Interconnect. The i7 can now use up to six computer cores for processing. This means that it unleashes the power of up to six processing cores in a single processor. The next generation of processors for the i7 series is the Sandy Bridge CPU. To reap the benefits of Core i7 900 series platform one has to invest into new motherboards as the new i7 900 series chips were based on new Intel X58 chipset and LGA1366 socket. A direct media interface memory controller had been imported dropping back the Quick Path interconnect and triple channel memory controller.  This was about its architecture and the complex but incredible makes the processor work faster.   

The size of the motherboard has been decreased.  The power issues (consumption) have been decreased. The new processors insure smaller motherboard form factors, lower power consumption, and better cooling systems. The ability to switch between integrated and discrete graphics on the fly is quite unique to the Arrandale lineup.  Although both Clarkdale and Arrandale processors feature low power consumption than previous Intel CPUs, combination of speedy discrete graphics and a low power overhead improves the laptop gaming performance while still keeping the best interests of the power management in mind. The Core i7 family doesn’t just mean new CPUs; they use a system bus, a new chipset, and a new socket structure. In short, it’s a whole new ballgame for the new age computing.
