How to know the actual password hidden under Asterisks? – Technology Times

If you are using any of the website to make a login to the website account through auto-fill/ auto-remember tool and all the work is done by the browser as you type the first letter of the login id.  This practice is beneficial to all those who have much work on the internet and are short of time.  Sometimes it becomes the situation that users forget their password by doing auto-fill option.

Reveal Password from Auto-fill Option

This asterisk service is implemented by the web-browsers to secure the password by the people sitting next to you. 

But this is not very tough work to reveal what’s behind the asterisk letters.  The best thing is that you don’t need any extra utility for that. 

Here are the Steps to reveal the hidden password.

Step1    Right Click the password field and simply click inspect element.

Step 2   Now simply overwrite the “password” with the letter “text”. 

The scientific explanation of this change is that we simply changed the data-type of the field and hence we get to know the password in textual form.  One can easily find password for all the browsers, here are the shortcuts for performing “inspect element” operation for other famous browsers.

For I.E. press F12 and then press Ctrl+B to activate element selection mode.
