Samsung
has launched its much awaited Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone. It is pitched
against iPhone and other high end Android mobile phones in the market. Samsung
has now opted for oval shape, ditching the traditional rectangular body that
dominated S2. The new design somewhat resembles that of Nexus. Big, bold and beautiful, the new Samsung
Galaxy comes running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on a stunning 4.8-inch
AMOLED screen, and boasts a 1.4GHz Exynos 4 quad-core processor and an
8-megapixel rear-mounted snapper.
And
as according to Samsung, the all new S3 design is primarily inspired from
nature, but still some critics say that the design may not appeal to everyone.
The
S3 comes in two variants blue and white.
ü Supports 2G, 3G
and 4G Networks.
ü GSM/EGSM
850/900/1800/1900,
ü UMTS
850/900/1900/2100 MHz,
ü HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA
5.76 Mbps
ü 4G (regional).
Camera
Same
like S2, even S3 has a 8 megapixel rear camera, though with some advanced
functions added such as a clever feature which automatically suggests the best
shot after clicking similar pics, depending on factors like face recognition
and smile detection .
The
photo quality matches that of its competitors as users can shoot HD videos and
snap pics at a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. Those wishing to get their Galaxy S3 before
everyone else will have needed to pre-order the handset from the story where
they will be able to pick up their phone at 6pm the night before the release
date of 30th May.
Expected
price of Samsung Galaxy S3 in India is approx. Rs 38,000.
International price of Samsung Galaxy S3 is approx. 800 USD.
