Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (A Review) – Technology Times

Strike Force missions are sets of levels that will shape the outcome of the Cold War between the United States and China, like team-based multiplayer scrimmages. The player is able to shift between all available soldiers and robots on his team on a battlefield. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be playable on the PC, Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is scheduled for a release later this year, the 13th of November to be exact, so if you were planning on getting your hands on the game anyway, how about placing a pre-order? Activision, looking to entice gamers with the upcoming release has revealed several pre-order bonuses depending on which retailer you buy it from. Unfortunately unlike other games where the pre-order bonuses have been somewhat exciting and useful (as far as game content goes), Black Ops 2 seems a little more tame. For starters gamers looking to pre-order from Amazon will be able to get their hands on a (presumably exclusive) digital wallpaper. GameStop customers can expect a free double-sided poster and last but not least, Best Buy will be giving out dog tags, which to be honest does seem like the best value for money.  For all the campaign's entertainment value, it also indicates how the series is in danger of losing some of its spark. They are non-linear, sandbox campaign missions.

A few full levels can be seen as rehashed versions from older titles in the series, and some of Call of Duty's ever present factors aren't as effective as they were three years ago. Blacking out in times of extreme peril, only to be saved at the last minute is dramatic, but not five times in as many hours. The overzealous cut-scenes are also feeling tired, even in a title that is meant to produce the feeling of confusion through flashbacks and surges in memory. Call of Duty’s acclaimed Multiplayer returns and is set in 2025 exclusively, as does the fan favorite Zombie co-op mode. Black Ops 2 will be the first time Zombies runs in the multiplayer engine, upping the intensity as players scramble to survive against the undead.
