iOS 6 Review - Technology Times

The marquee feature is the new Maps app that replaces the Google Maps-based version that has shipped since the original iPhone. The standout part of the new Maps is the much-rumored 3D rendition of cityscapes, a feature Apple is calling Flyover that enables you to fly around photo-realistic recreations of areas and view them from every angle.

The features and specifications of iOS6 are:

1. iOS 6 adds Apple’s own Maps over Google Maps.

2. Integrated with Siri, the new Maps will have turn by turn voice navigation, 3D maps, real time traffic update and a feature called Flyover, which will have photo-realistic interactive 3D views.

3. The intelligence voice assistance on the iPhone 4S, Siri will now be available for the new iPad. Siri has been optimized to be used in 15 countries and can now be used to launch third party applications as well.

4. Apple has also integrated Facebook to the iOS 6 , similar to the Twitter integration in the iOS 5.

5. iOS 6 allows to share photo to your network.

6. Passbook that is an easy to get all the passes in one place, including boarding passes. This app can scan the iPhone or iPod Touch to use a coupon, get  or check into the hotel.

7. Safari has been updated with iCloud tabs for offline reading lists, support for Face Time calls over cellular network.

Though this operating system is not updated and according to the organization it will take a few months to finally introduce the upgraded version still this new operating system iOS 6 is incorporated with a number of exciting features and enhancements. We have already dealt with the features like Siri, importantly refurbished map and the system wide integration of Facebook.  Apart from these important features there are a number of other features which are included in iOS 6 developed by Apple. It is equipped with a global HTTP proxy option that will replace the current approach. It also includes video and audio sampling at the time of playback. Now it is the time to take a look at the few more features which are completely new to most of us.  iOS 6 will ship this autumn, although a beta test is available to developers from the Apple Developer Connection. It will supports iPhone 3GS or later, second and third generation iPad, and the fourth-generation iPod touch.

HTC One X Smartphone Review, Availability & Price Details – Technology Times

This is not just a slight reworking of the HTC line. Long-standing problems such as samey, mediocre looks and poor battery life have been addressed and the result is an HTC handset unlike any other, even if it talks the same design language. There, you drag a ring up the screen to wake the phone, but you can also drag one of four, user-selected icons – defaults are phone, mail, messages and camera – into the ring, to launch that app or function. The price of The HTC One X Smartphone will be as follows. It’s also one of the first to market with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Android. As ever with HTC, it’s overlaid with the company’s Sense skin. HTC One X is yet another power pack and fully loaded featured Smartphone from HTC which covers the widest area of its features with latest technologies and innovations. The mobile operating system of HTC One X Smartphone contains Android's latest technology which is Android OS, v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and with most powerful mobile processor of 1.5GHz Quad-Core processor. The HTC One X Smartphone has 8 Mega Pixel Camera with 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash and Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection and Video Camera of 1080p@30fps, stereo sound rec., video stabilization and Secondary Video Camera of 1.3 MP with 720p. So what more you can expect from HTC One X.

The HTC One X Smartphone will be available from April, 5th, 2012 in UK, USA and other part of the countries. Sense is far better than similar overlays from LG, Sony and Motorola. HTC Sense is all-encompassing, with really well thought out apps and features.  Furthermore, older caveats about range and quality of apps and functionality compared to iPhones barely apply anymore. Okay, the App Store and iTunes Store are better than Google Play and Amazon MP3, but really not by much. Similarly, while the experience of iOS could be described as a little slicker, what was a gulf in quality is now more like a narrow alleyway.

Samsung Omnia W Smartphone Review – Technology Times

Samsung Omnia W Smartphone uses 21st Latest Technology

The Omnia’s display is a 3.7-inch, 800 x 480-pixel Super AMOLED panel. It’s bright and readable, but not as color-rich as the Nokia Lumia 800’s.

However, it’s more than slim enough to fit into the average pocket. It’s also sturdy enough not to break in half doing so, despite weighing in at just 115 grams.
WP7) is running atop a single-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor, with 512MB of RAM. Apps are quick and responsive, though there seems no appreciable performance difference from the older HTC 7Trophy or the current Nokia Lumia 800.

Storage is a fixed 8GB, of which 6.34GB is available to the user. By a limitation of WP7, there’s no external storage via micro SD card or anything similar. That 6.34GB is all you’ve got for whatever apps, photos, music or movies you want to carry around.

WP7 also won’t appear as a USB flash drive when plugged into a PC (as Android phones can), so those that like to use their phone a general-purpose storage device will be left wanting. Samsung has thrown in a few applications of their own, but nothing that redefines the Windows Phone experience or gives the phone some massive advantage over its competitors. Nonetheless, Samsung’s AlI Share DLNA server is pretty neat, letting you wirelessly stream videos, photos and music to any DLNA-compatible entertainment devices such as TVs or PCs.

The entire face of the phone is a single surface, indented very slightly into its bezel to give your finger a nice clear stopping- point at the left and right edges.
The Omnia isn’t record-breaking thin its 11 mm at its thickest point.

The Omnia W includes deep and powerful Facebook integration. Contacts and calendar entries sync up perfectly, and you can even opt to treat Facebook messages exactly like text messages. If you do so, you can then swap mid- conversation from text to Facebook Message or vice-versa, just by tapping a single button. Excluding the very meager data costs it incurs, it’s essentially free text messaging with anyone on Facebook.

The Omnia W is not a groundbreaking phone, other than that its Samsung’s first WP7 offering. It is, however, a very strong offering for existing Windows Phone 7 fans. At a midrange $699, it’s also a good starting point for Facebook addicts or those looking for a simpler interface than Android or perhaps even iOS can provide.

I’m Watch Smart Watches Review – Technology Times

What is I’m Watch?
Technology is ever dynamic and it has new changes every day.  Embedded systems are manufactured more these days. The strangely named I’m Watch is the most expensive of the bunch, but it looks absolutely gorgeous. The I’m Watch has a 1.54-inch color TFT touch-screen display and comes with a variety of apps standard, along with an app store, where developers can publish their own programs created for the watch.

There is 4GB of storage for your music along with a “powerful speakerphone” and a microphone so you can go 007 with your phone calls. One downside (besides the price) is abysmal battery life—a mere 24 hours while tethered to Bluetooth, and only 48 when unconnected. The watch seems terrific; I just can’t shake the price tag, so the Pebble gets my vote this time. Oh, and for the extravagant among you, you can get various jeweled versions; the most expensive being white gold and diamond at a mere $19,999… bargain!

Lightness and power, united for top performance. i’m Tech Carbonium is also available with a coloured strap. Black or white, red or yellow: energy in its purest state.

Keep the rhythm: listen to your favorite music whenever you want with just a simple touch.

HTC One X Review 2012 – Technology Times

The HTC One X is a sexy phone, worthy of being the flagship device for AT&T, HTC, and Android in general.  The screen is responsive - except when it's not. That’s great fun when you're trying to answer a call and the answer button doesn't do anything unless it's tapped repeatedly - except oops, now it's the hang up button, and you just hung up on someone.  With its high-resolution 4.7-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, super-slim profile, and access to AT&T's fast 4G LTE network, the HTC One X is the best Android smartphone available today. “Surprisingly, the battery was quite good. While it was all but tapped out after our 24 hour tests, the 1800mAh model performed far better than we would have expected given the screen and processing power.”

The software and hardware work fine on their levels to make the processing faster than ever before.  Hardware wise, this is a stunning phone. The HTC One X has set the bar high for this new generation of Android phones. The HTC One series all come with Beats Audio™ so everything you hear on your phone from music and videos to games and YouTube is rich and authentic.  Colors are decent as are viewing angles, and legibility in all light conditions is good.  Individually compare with others phone, the display and camera much better.  So what to wait for grab the latest HTC One X from the stores and feel the difference.

How to avoid Blogger/BlogSpot Blog from redirecting to Country-Specific domain name - Technology Times

Some of you might have observed that you gave a request of .com extension but it is always sending .in (your geographical location URL). As most of the people might have observed that the blogger redirects to the country’s specific domain name/URL from past few months so this may lead to some of the problems to your blog traffic and other problems like making your blog distinct on the basis of geographical search results.  So to avoid such issues one can use the following java script directly inside your blogger EDIT HTML section for any of irrespective of the template you are using.

<script type="text/javascript">
var blog = document.location.hostname;
var slug = document.location.pathname;
var ctld = blog.substr(blog.lastIndexOf("."));
if (ctld != ".com") {
var ncr = "http://" + blog.substr(0, blog.indexOf("."));
ncr += ".blogspot.com/ncr" + slug;
window.location.replace(ncr);
}
</script>

This code should be copied as it is written and must be placed after <head> tag in the same upper said HTML EDIT section.

Why did Google choose this methodology?

Well, with the introduction of this redirection, it can now easily distinguish the traffic and thus can block a blog easily in some cases.  Similarly, your social site network can have more filter regarding the apps you are using inside your blog. Therefore if you really want to avoid such redirection then follow the steps discussed above.  This is a simple java script that forcefully redirects to the .com extension.

Microsoft Surface tablet review – Technology Times

Microsoft is so sure that Surface will be a runaway success that they are releasing MS office on iOS in the fall as well.  It has premium design, portability of a tablet, fully functioning desktop OS, compatibility with existing Microsoft software and keyboard options. The Type Cover has mechanical keys and a multi-touch click pad. Our touch-typist fingers flew over the keys as efficiently as if we were typing on our laptop. The Touch Cover is a great idea and something Apple hasn't delivered a slim case but also keyboard that is genuinely useful. The Windows logo isn't just for show; it's a touch button that gives you the Start screen when you tap on it, plus the whole bezel is touch-aware so you can swipe across it to bring up the App bar or the switching pane (spending on which way round it is).

The Surface Pro offers Intel Ivy Bridge power with up to 128GB of storage, USB 3.0 and a digital inking pen, all in a slim, 862g package.  Microsoft makes its grand debut onto the tablet hardware market with the Surface for Windows 8. And it’s one impressive entrance, with the 10.6in Full HD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 2 being a particular highlight. The Surface tablet's integrated kickstand is sheer brilliance, and it felt sturdily designed when we lifted it up and held the prototype tablet by its kickstand. We did that almost automatically, without thinking about potential consequences, and then realized that we had nothing to fear; the kickstand felt as stable as bedrock.  The ARM version for Windows 8 RT, meanwhile, sports a quad-core ARM CPU with up to 64GB, and diets down to 576g with a 9.3mm profile.  As if that weren’t enough, there’s also a selection or rather stylish keyboard covers to turn this slate into a proper laptop replacement. Microsoft has noticed many people are put off by physical keyboards on tablets but this is a slim case (with keyboard).

So what about launch? The Windows 8 RT ARM tablet will launch at the same time as Microsoft’s OS, while the Surface Pro tablet will come a few months later. Pricing will be competitive with ‘comparable’ ARM tablets or Ultra book laptops, so we’re guessing sub-£400 for the Surface and under £800 for the Surface Pro wouldn’t be outside the realms of possibility.

Samsung Galaxy S III (Review) – Technology Times

Samsung launches new phone, the Samsung Galaxy SIII.  If you want to have a giant touchscreen, then you'll have to put up with having a giant phone. The top-of-the-range, $899 smartphone is Samsung's first mobile phone to feature a powerful quad-core processor.  The new Galaxy SIII has a 4.8" screen and a quad-core processor, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera and the latest Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich.  1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera and a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos processor.  The phone will be available from Vodafone, Optus and Telstra, and the 16GB version will cost $899 outright. A blue version and 32GB model will go on sale in Australia in the coming days.  Software additions include facial recognition for your photos, a camera that tracks open eyes to keep the screen on, voice commands to wake the phone and other tasks, and the ability to share videos between phones by touching them.  US version of the phone is likely to feature a different, dual-core processor in order to accommodate 4G LTE connectivity.  The huge display, the power, the smooth and fast operation are all to its credit. Add to this the ability to change battery and expand storage and you've a very good package.  Samsung chose to focus on new software enhancements inside its phone, with telecommunications vice-president Tyler McGee calling the phone a more intuitive handset.
