Cutting down of trees at massive rate is termed as deforestation, leading to the decrement of the quality of land. 30 percent of land area is still covered by the forests, but this percentage is decreeing at a much faster tare every year.

If this trend will go on then the world rain forests would be cleaned up in coming 100 years completely.

Trees are cut down to serve the basic needs of people i.e. to earn money and the wood too. Mostly, this thing is done to make an agricultural field by the farmers to grow some cash crops. They do so in order to make land for their cattle and for the grazing purposes. “Slash and burn” agriculture is the main cause of deforestation; the farmer cuts the forest and burns them in order to increase the fertility of the soil.

Logging operations for paper making cut down many trees a year to make a paper.  They are making illegal roads in the remote areas and thus it is increasing them a good transportation facility which is further responsible for cutting of more trees. Another reason for this is growing cities and for their own profit they are cutting the natural alignment of the trees.

It is also not like that all the deforestation is one by the people only sometimes natural happenings like fire, causes an immense loss to the forests.

Deforestation is the cause of loss of habitats of the wildlife species. This is due to the cutting of forests again which kills them brutally, therefore, they come across humans and too become their prey.

Deforestation is responsible for all the climatic changes, the condition of drought is due to cutting of trees only, the soil erosions is also governed by this deforestation. Trees hold the soil, no trees means no bondage and thus a condition of drought and many a times total loss in moisture leads to the formation of deserts.

Trees help in observing the greenhouse gases, no trees means no absorption therefore; this deforestation is related to the rise in global warming. The cutting is increasing exponentially so thus the temperature.

The only way to stop this temperature rise is afforestation, and stop cutting trees. If it would be done then only we can stop global warming and hence all other forms of life. Although, now the rate has decreased since people are now aware about the problems rising by this job. Also, each country has made laws and rules regarding forestry work, and strict action is taking place to the defaulters.

A balance has been made now and forest work of planting more and more tree has been started. This is believed now that we will be able to control this very evil of global warming which can kill all the species around by planting the trees around.
