All about Windows 8 (2012) – Technology Times

The world has shifted to the touch generation so does the gadgets. The apps add a bit of color since almost every app has its own color. The clear, homogeneous design of the Metro desktop was sacrificed in favor of personal adaptability. The way the new Metro UI and the updated desktop interact with the keyboard and mouse interface is crucial to 90 percent of the Windows user base as it the most familiar way of interacting with ones content and the most known way of getting work done. In the coming days we’ll have a replacement in the technology because we are now able to produce/manufacture the touch technology. Like most Microsoft downloads, downloading Windows 8 Developer Preview was quick for a 4 GB download. Pressured by that trend, Microsoft is updating Windows    to make PCs work more like smartphones and to bring Windows to a whole new class of devices: iPad-like touch-screen tablets. Operation has been completely optimized for inputting via touchscreen. All actions and menus are started via swiping or with a tap of a finger. Even navigating between fingers is performed with little gestures. For this, all surfaces have a big size so that they can be easily hit with a finger.

The metro look of the windows is an excellent initiative from the developers. When you launch an application designed for the Metro interface, it runs full-screen by default, not inside a window. The network issues are much improved in the latest windows.  Last month, the company launched what it calls a "consumer preview" of Windows 8, the next version of its flagship operating system. The background can't be selected freely anymore and you have to choose among nine dark colors. Although you can decide whether an app is to take up one or two columns, the number of rows is fixed. It was set to three in our device. However, for those of us who want to use computers to make documents, presentations, spreadsheets and graphic editing, Windows 8 will annoy us to no end. Right now, there are relatively few Metro apps in the store.  What apps there are do happen to be free though, which gives us a chance to try them out.  You can split the screen between two applications, but that's it. Windows has to start from scratch in a way. The Intel changes its dimensions with any of the computing architectures.  Yes, the Intel based Windows 8 devices will have backward compatibility, but if the focus is to be brought onto Metro then there needs to be some real effort made to flesh out that ecosystem. So go for the genuine copy of windows and fell the dynamic change yourself and it best suits for the touch devices/systems.

LG Viper 4G ( A Review) - Technology Times

This is an era of 4G networks. The race between the LG Viper 4G and Samsung Galaxy Nexus to become Sprint's first LTE phone isn't over yet, but at least now we know when one of those phones will be released. Today, Sprint announced that the Viper will be available on April 22nd, and customers who pre-order one starting today could get it as soon as April 20th. The mid-range phone is selling for $99.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate, and will run Android 2.3 on a 4-inch screen. The Sprint LTE network has not been rolled out yet in the United States. When you switch on the Viper, you’ll have to immediately go into the settings and turn off the LTE. If you don’t, the phone will constantly try and search for a non-existent network and drain your battery. Until LTE comes in your city, you’re stuck with 3G.LG Viper offers Android 2.3, Gingerbread, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4G of ROM. It also includes a 4GB microSD™ card. The sleek, ultra-thin Smartphone also boasts a 4-inch bright and clear touch screen display for better viewing under direct sunlight. It features a Corning® Gorilla® Glass screen protector for extra display resistance. A 5MP rear-facing camera with flash and a VGA front-facing camera allow for a fun and easy face-to-face video chat experience. Grab your device and get into the lead of 4G networks.

This is not just a Smartphone but a total innovation in the field of technology. The Smartphone operates with the help of the Android Gingerbread platform and acquires multitasking properties from the 1.2GHz dual core processor as well as 1GB RAM. The 4-inch multi-touch screen is reinforced with Corning Gorilla glass to offer resistance to scratches and is said to render clear images even in bright sunlight. It is believed that the Sprint edition of the Galaxy Nexus will be close to the Verizon model, carrying 32 GB of non-user expandable storage. The device will have near field communications (NFC) support and like the Galaxy S 4G before it, will come with Google Wallet support as well for contact-less payments. This sleek handset also sports a 5MP primary camera along with a front facing VGA webcam. With the Android 4.0-enabled HTC EVO 4G LTE, Sprint plans to give Smartphone users the best multimedia experience yet, officials said at this week's product press launch. While conditions at the New York City venue weren't the same as those you'd encounter in real life, a bit of hands-on experimentation with the latest EVO indicated that Sprint isn't just whistling in the dark. Check out your device in the online stores.

Samsung NX10- Technology Times

Here is the latest camera from Samsung. The Samsung NX10 is the first camera in the mirror less NX series, announced at CES 2010, a few months after Samsung made the NX-mirror less development notice. For the Samsung NX10, the whole feels like a lot more than the sum of the parts. Except for a nice design, surprisingly good lenses, and its status as the first interchangeable-lens camera (ILC) with a relatively large APS-C-size sensor, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly outstanding about the camera's feature set, performance or photo quality when taken individually. The Samsung NX10 is not only starting the attack on the Micro Four Thirds System, but also on the traditional SLR camera. This is a daring move, especially because Samsung was previously known for its Pentax clones. With the NX10, Samsung has something new to offer, or actually several things. Not only is it the first camera that the brand has developed all by itself, it is also one of the first cameras on the market with changeable lenses, an APS-C sensor, and without a mirror. In 2005, Pentax and Samsung partnered to jointly develop DSLR cameras. Nevertheless, my overall experience with the NX10 and opinion about the camera is a lot more positive than the individual ratings would indicate. The NX10's image quality results surpassed my expectations. Contrast is a bit strong, which the majority of users will enjoy due to it helping photos "pop" a bit more. However, the sacrifice is loss of some details, and it can also bring out more noise in low contrast areas. The camera is a good alternative for a person who loves to go mobile every time and to capture the moments.

This camera produces beautiful photos in a variety of lighting conditions. In bright outdoor lighting, the NX10 produced pleasing exposures that show vivid colors and good sharpness. Pentax brought its experience with interchangeable lenses and optics to the table, and Samsung brought its expertise in digital media and semiconductor products. Samsung has marketed what are basically re-badged Pentax DSLRs (Pentax's K10D and 20D, Samsung's GX10 and 20), but the NX10 marks a departure from both the DSLR script and simple re-badging.

Samsung NX10 Key Specifications:-
  • 15.1 Mega pixel APS-C CMOS sensor (presumed to be close relation to Pentax K7 sensor)
  • 14.6 million effective pixels
  • New Samsung NX mount (25.5mm flange-back distance)
  • 720p movie capture (H.264, 30 fps)
  • Contrast-detect auto focus
  • 3.0" AMOLED screen (614,000 dots, PenTile RGB array)
  • 921k dot Electronic Viewfinder
  • 30mm F2 pancake and 18-55mm standard zoom options

So, what to wait for grab your distinct unit now from the online stores.

LG Lucid Review- Technology Times

This is a nice handset for those who can’t afford the upfront costs, but also don’t want a larger screen. Specifications of the LG Lucid include a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display (with Corning Gorilla Glass on top), a 5.0 megapixel camera module (with LED flash and 1080p video capture), a front-facing video cam, a GPS, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (with mobile hotspot), DLNA and micro SD card expansion.  It will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with an Ice Cream Sandwich update promised to be in the works.  The Lucid houses a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4-inch Gorilla Glass covered touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a front facing camera that can capture 1080p video.  Lucid by LG will be available starting March 29 in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. Customers will receive the rebate in the form of a debit card; upon receipt, customers may use the card as cash anywhere debit cards are accepted.

The mobile hotspot feature lets professionals connect to up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, making it easy for teams to work from a remote location.  Verizon neglected to include the phone's screen resolution, but if rumors are correct, that 4-inch touchscreen should measure in at 800 x 480 pixels.  Muscle is provided by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. Naturally, the device comes with LTE connectivity and is able to share its fast connection with up to 10 devices.  The Quick Dialer widget lets customers make calls directly from a home screen panel without having to open the phone application. Additionally, Lucid by LG has Guided Tours right on the device, which provides step-by-step tutorials for customers who want to learn more about their new phone. Wi-Fi n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0 are on board as well. Measurements aren't bad either at 119.1 x 62.2 x 11.4 mm and weight of 142 grams with a 1700mAh battery under the back cover.  The appearance looks a bit like a reworked LG Optimus Black with slightly harder corners that makes it just a bit more business-like than most phones in its price range.   It will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with an Ice Cream Sandwich update promised to be in the works.

Samsung MV800 MultiView Digital Camera 2012- Technology Times

Here is the straight line angle image capturing with the latest Samsung Multiview digital camera. The Samsung Multiview MV800 of course got its name from its screen that can be flipped 180 degrees. The flaps type screen makes it look cool in all respects.  Funny Face feature means you can bend stretch and warp portrait pictures of your friends and family. The idea of course is to make it capable of taking self-portraits.  The Samsung MultiView’s lens has a 3.3-5.9 maximum aperture, so it’s obviously not meant for low light shooting but shots taken at night are still acceptable.  The screen flips all the way up until it faces the same direction the lens faces.
